This is amazing. Sometimes we take for granted how things get on our table. It is wonderful to take a moment and explore the things that are in our own back yard. Thanks for answering the questions that we often forget to ask.
What kind of trees can be tapped for syrup?
Hey Brittany, Sugar Maples are the best, but box elders and any other maple works too, you can even do birch I hear, you’ll just get a funk tasting syrup.
Living out west in the prairies, I’m envious of the east’s inclusion of maple syrup as a local food product. I wish!!
