A lot of crazy things happen beneath the surface of NYC. Most of them you don’t realize until they are pointed out. Case and point: a halal slaughterhouse down a backstreet in a random neighborhood in Queens. Everyday folks line up around the corner to choose their own live chicken or goat, watch it get killed and then take it home for dinner. This slaughterhouse takes it to another level by sourcing many of its chickens from small farms. WARNING: This is a little graphic.
